This French butter crock holds one stick of butter. It is discounted because of a slight warp to the bell portion that does not affect how the dish sits. Plus, I’ve had it for ages and no one has ever bought it! To use the French butter crock, fill the jar about 1” with water. Soften a stick of butter and place in the lid portion. When you put the lid inside the jar, the rim of the bell should touch the water, creating a seal. This way you can keep butter on your countertop and it is always ready to spread. Replace the water every 2-3 days.
